Community Larder & Warm Space

Dalry Community Sports Club runs a twice‑weekly Community Larder & Warm Space from the heart of the town – offering much more than groceries. Whether you’re feeling the pinch of the cost‑of‑living crisis, need a friendly chat, or simply want a warm space to gather, you’ll find it here – with zero judgment, just kindness and support.

Set up during the pandemic and still going strong, our Larder aligns with North Ayrshire Council’s ‘food with dignity’ model, offering a mix of fresh, non-perishable, and surplus food at a nominal cost. Like many across North Ayrshire, we’ve seen steadily rising attendance over the past year – including more working families – as local households struggle with higher prices.

Opening Times

The Community Larder & Warm Space is accessible on the following days/times:

Wednesdays – 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm
Saturdays – 9.30 am to 11.00 am

Dalry Community Centre, St Margaret Avenue, KA24 4BA

When you visit the Larder, you’ll be welcomed by friendly volunteers in a relaxed, respectful atmosphere. You can choose from a range of items, enjoy a hot drink, and take your food home with dignity.

Thanks to our ongoing partnerships with North Ayrshire Council and local retailers – including ASDA, Tesco, Co‑op, Bookers, Irvine’s Bakery, Reid’s Food Services, and Lidl – we keep shelves stocked and spirits lifted.

We’re also able to offer referrals for energy support, ensuring people can get help beyond the pantry.

There’s no referral and no stigma – we’re just here to help each other out. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll always be made welcome.
