Our Projects

The Sports Pavilion in the Park

What began as a brick building in Dalry Public Park is now a beating heart for community sports.
With support from Town Centre Regeneration funding, we’ve turned the Pavilion into a clean, modern, welcoming base for everything from Parklives and puppy training to kids’ sports days and arts & crafts sessions. Having a physical base has helped us run more events, store equipment, offer toilets and shelter, and serve dignified free food through our outdoor BBQ. We’re now nearing completion of a Community Asset Transfer from North Ayrshire Council that will give us a long-term lease and the security to grow even more.
We see the Pavilion not just as a venue, but a hub for sport, social connection, and wider community development.

Solar lighting in Dalry Public Park

Solar Lighting in the Public Park

Dalry Public Park becomes almost unusable during the darker winter months - cutting off access to green space, activities, and social opportunities from as early as 4pm. Thanks to dedicated fundraising efforts by DCSC volunteers, supporters, and local residents, we now have environmentally friendly solar lighting to illuminate key areas of the park, increasing safety, extending usable hours for local sports and recreational activities, and making the park more accessible during evenings.
Making the park safer, more welcoming, and usable all year round.

Community Allotments

We’ve secured an agreement with DSM Nutritional Products to lease a piece of land next to the Pavilion for the development of community allotments - offering local residents space to grow food, enjoy nature, and connect with others outdoors. These plots will help tackle food poverty, promote sustainable living, support mental wellbeing, and bring neighbours together. The Pavilion will also serve as a shared social space and meeting point for plot holders and volunteers.
This is a project rooted in hope - a long-term investment in health, sustainability, and community ownership.
